Genuinely LOVED this book! Bought for a holiday read and couldn’t put it down, and with two boys to look after and keep watch of that’s really good going…left me nothing for the rest of the hols though. Gripping, different, thought-provoking and most of all deliciously readable…a fantastic story, have recommended to friends and family.
Unique very modern slant made this a special experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this, the technical aspect of email and phone shadowing gave it a special twist that heightened the tension unbearably and enjoyably. recommended. Looking forward to the next one.
Fabulous contemporary take on gaslighting. I found myself questioning what was true from the beginning and loved (or rather hated) the way that I was drawn into Fabiola’s world. Definitely a must read.
Fast-paced, terrifyingly believable, chilling at times, Best Eaten Cold is the kind of book that’s hard to put down once you’ve started reading it. The female protagonist is persuasively drawn – particularly so by a male author – as are all the characters, (including the well-meaning husband and his loitering, disapproving mother), and the reader is compellingly drawn into the unfolding plot with a sinking feeling that keeps the pages turning. The ‘extracts’ reproduced at the top of every chapter gave such a powerful insight into the theme of identity theft that I found myself questioning my own internet presence and made all kinds of resolutions to change every one of my passwords! I highly recommend this book – it was a perfect holiday read. I admire any author who can hold my attention so thrillingly from beginning to end of a book. Looking forward to reading more by Tony Salter in future.

A book written by an Author who knows how to spellbind you with wanting to consume more and more until you realise it’s 3 am in the morning, absolutely brilliant, loved the story, loved the characters and loved the cover too!
Best Eaten Cold is without question one of the best books I have read in recent times. Salter keeps the reader’s attention throughout via a rich plot adorned with lavish detail. Will definitely be looking out for more books by this author.
